The University of New England is an innovative health sciences focused-university, grounded in the liberal arts, with two distinctive coastal Maine campuses and a vibrant campus in Tangiers, Morocco.  UNE offers more than 70 undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs in addition to an array of top-rated online learning opportunities.  With internationally recognized scholars in the health sciences, life sciences, business, education, the social sciences and the humanities UNE allows both our graduate and undergraduate students to engage in research and scholarship alongside dedicated faculty.

UNE, home to Maine’s only medical, dental medicine and pharmacy colleges, is a leader in health sciences education.  It is one of a handful of private universities with a comprehensive health education mission including medicine, pharmacy, dental medicine, nursing and an array of allied health professions. UNE’s interprofessional education initiatives prepare future healthcare professionals to practice comprehensive and collaborative team-based care.

In addition, UNE offers a comprehensive liberal arts education, with more than 30 undergraduate majors in its College of Arts & Sciences, such as environmental science, marine science, English, history, business, communication and education.

UNE’s Biddeford Campus is located on a beautiful oceanfront site in Biddeford, Maine, where the Saco River flows into the Atlantic Ocean, and is home to our undergraduate students.  The Portland Campus, a designated national historic district with the quintessential New England look of a central green surrounded by classic brick buildings, is home to our graduate and professional programs.  Our newest campus in Tangiers, Morocco, provides undergraduate students in with a unique study abroad opportunity.
