Mt. Blue Campus is located in Farmington situated in the foothills of the western mountains of Maine. The town of Farmington has a population of under 8,000 inhabitants. The school like the community welcomes diversity. The area attracts many artists, writers, and musicians as well as an ethnically and culturally diverse makeup. Maine is considered one of the safest states to live. Farmington is also home to the University of Maine at Farmington. There are three major ski resorts within an hour drive. The Atlantic Ocean is within a two hour drive. Boston is three and a half hours south and the City of Quebec, Canada is four hours north. The community is a four season area with numerous outdoor activities. Maine is known for its hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, snowmobiling, bicycling and swimming.
Mt. Blue Campus consists of Mt. Blue High School and Foster Career and Technical Education Center. The classrooms of Mt. Blue High School and Foster Career and Technical Education Center are located side-by-side within the Mt. Blue Campus, which exposes students to a variety of subjects and provides faculty opportunities for interdisciplinary instruction. The classroom ratio of student to teacher is 18 students to every teacher. Mt. Blue Campus is a state of the art facility; classrooms are equipped with SMART Technology. Every student at the High School has access to a MacBook Air.
