Camden Hills Regional High School is located in Rockport, Maine USA. Our school is a gorgeous facility that is among the most beautiful schools in New England. The campus is five minutes from the ocean, and because there are also mountains in our town, we have a ski area that is also no more that 10 minutes from our school. The mountains and the ocean make our area one of the most scenic places in America. In addition to a wonderful community, our school sits on a magnificent campus. We have several sports fields, lighted outdoor tennis courts, a fruit orchard, a vegetable garden, a greenhouse and an outdoor classroom.
In researching our school, international students learn that Maine and our local community are very safe places to live. In fact, the majority of our international students choose to come here because we provide them with a safe, supportive and wonderful place to live and go to school.
Perhaps the most compelling reason to study at CHRHS is because of our outstanding academic program. The “U.S. News and World Report” ranked CHRHS as one of the best schools in America and among the top 6 schools in Maine. Most of our students go on to very selective colleges and universities, and our students continue to earn local, regional, state, national and international recognition. In comparing CHRHS students to those in schools across Maine and the US, you will find that our students excel in standardized testing. It is also important to note that over 82% of our students who take AP tests score 3 or higher, which is much higher than the state or national average. International Programming
Fundamental to our school is the belief that we will honor, value and respect people and cultures throughout the world. As a result, CHRHS is one of the few public schools in New England that can accept F-1 Tuition paying international students. Our F-1 Visa Program was featured on Maine Public Radio, the Associated Press, and on the Nationally Syndicated HD-NET TV. Our reputation as a destination school for students from China, Brazil, Mexico, France and Germany is growing by leaps and bounds. Our school also has Student Exchange Programs with schools in Germany and Spain. In addition, we are working on similar exchanges with schools in Mexico and New Zealand. If you are a person who embraces a global perspective and wants to expand your learning experiences in other countries, CHRHS can help make it happen.
